    Can anyone ID this Belgian stone. It has little brown dots like pinheads.

    Dimensiions are 1 3/16"x 6"

    Side shots of the hone would be helpful. The dark dots remind me or La nouvelle vein.

    Not a problem if I can find the link to the text I'm basing my guess off I'll get it for you.

    Click on part 4 and scroll down until you see La nouvelle vein. Look closely at the picture of the surface.. may notice similar brown dots.

    When the yellow is lapped, are the spots easily removed, to appear once again later, if left unused for a time?

    Does it darken with exposure to the sun?
