If not, then the seller has sent you a sub-standard item. If there was external damage then either the postal service has been really rough or the stone wasn't packed well enough.
Packaging was fine, and the stone was bubble wrapped. I noticed it when I pulled off the bubble wrap I had grit all over my dining table. The other side is good, however if I ever chip that side I am in trouble. The seller offered me a $10 reimbursement. So not sure what to do.
