I don't see any yellow/greens in there. I have one and it really is yellowish/olive in hue. Heck of a stone! I'll take a pic and send it to you if you like.

The three on the right end are actually yellow/green. It's the lighting.

I would love to see a picture of yours. I'm always looking for more info...

Here is a Y/G that is NOS in the box. Never used or lapped. Below that a dark blue, blue green, yellow green and light green. All stones are end labeled with the color designation by Escher.

I have two Escher`s.

The bigger one is grey (labled Escher at the backside of the stone). The smaler one with the slurry stone is grey green, maybe yellow green.

I imagine the smaler one to be the finer stone but I really like both.

Hard to tell without seeing them in person but the small one looks like a yellow/green to me and the larger a blue/green. Those are a pair of beauties and great hones. Don't let anyone talk you out of those. BTW, if you're going to hone razors with those when you flatten them round the edges. A sharp edge can put a chip in the razor's edge when you are honing.

Escher that never gets used or lapped is as sad as a Playboy model that dies as a virgin!

Since we're talking Escher colors, mine looks like blue on one side and green or gray on the other. I only lapped the darker side but maybe I should use the other side also ...

Hmm since everyone else is posting pics might as well... Btw mine doesn't appear to ever have been used or opened, except for me lapping it. But on the side of the large stone I found both "yellow-green" and "dark/blue" labels. The yellow label was placed first, then for whatever reason the blue lable placed over it. I believe my large stone is yellow-green, and the slurry is dark blue. Am I correct or did they just commonly mis-label them often? Also being i just bought this any info on J.G. Escher Sohn history would be greatly appreciated.

I would venture to say that neither one of those are dark blue. The dark blues I have seen are very dark. I have seen dark blues in that color box before. I've never seen an Escher with two end labels. Great looking stone whatever color it is and it will probably be a heck of a razor hone.
