here are some comparing a Yugo Swaty and an Austrian Swaty
the Yugo is the larger, both are the same grit and I couldn't tell them apart in a blind test
sorry the pics are bad, it was before I learned whet the little flower means
EDIT
last one is hitting the left cheek with the right hand without blocking vision

The information this old ad provides is interesting and seems relevant to this topic, so I unscrupulously copied the picture from eBay were it is for sale - I do hope not to be breaking any forum rules here:

Thanked: 488There are some great old ads on ebay. I know I've picked up several and framed them and have them hanging in the old shave den. Pretty neat stuff:-)

Thanked: 293I have Gunner's old Swaty. I used it on a W&B 11/16 that was starting to tug a little. About 15 laps and then stropped on canvas and leather and my old edge was back. I think it's satisfactory for me.
Thanks again Phil!

C mon and PIke strop hone
I had connection problems that is why will post 2 hones to day.
first one C MON HONE. I LOVE this one. 2-3 strokes on the hone razor back in previous condition. you can use another side for sharpening purposes. This is very handy and small stone. Pike strop hone i put picture of the instructions only couple passes gl.

I haven't seen swaty with that way but have seen other barber hones(should have one) with similar notes. use another side first then labeled side(usually finer) . By looking at the stone you can 't figure it out because colors are both side same.hope this helps.
