    Interesting, great price. I wonder if this is actually Lydian or Lydite. The other site that sells them for a lot sells a slate stone also that looks just like that one but is much cheaper. I'm very keen to hear your results.

    They did have cheaper ones but smaller. There was another name for the Lydian stone can't remember right now

    Right, what I meant was at that price maybe it's not an actual Lydite stone, but instead a shale stone.

    Not sure google is not helpful searching lydian stone. Looking for images. This stone is very black. More so than my black ark.

    Interesting thread. So how is it different from a hard black/translucent Arkansas that it appears to resemble from the description?
