Coticules used to be bonded to BBW much like they are bonded to slate now. It looks like you have a nice vintage coticule bonded to BBW. Nice!

We can more or less confirm it's Belgian Blue Whetstone backed. Now......
Does the BBW have a well defined separation from the coticule layer or obvious evidence of being bonded to the coticule like this?
Or, is the separation a natural varied line resembling this type of characteristic?

Ah yes, a bonded Coticule/BBW. Very nice. You'll have fun with that.

Nice find. The first guy who showed me a coticule recommended water but said that Olive oil was ok. Two of my razors seem to like lather though the rest water is good. I first misread the 'lather' on the instructions as 'ether'. Hmm, I thought, that's a new one.
