That means the razors have been used by 6 members before me and stropped at least as often. Wouldn't that diminish the differences?
Yeah, I could see that happening too.

I think maybe we should draw the line at five people to avoid that as much as possible?

You could retouch them on the same finishers if you wanted more proof...

    Just received the triplets.

Lovely razors. Thin, delicate scales, sweeping shoulderless blades. They seem much more French than British -- certainly the antithesis of the big, broad wedges I enjoy so much.

If any razor deserved the classification of feminine, it is these.

My heart flutters. I will prepare coq au vin, open a fruity chardonnay, and invite them to dinner. Dim the lights, put Van Morrison on the turntable, turn the volume down low.... I may never let them go.

<Sigh> Relax, I know I must pass them on. But I will use them mercilessly over the next few days.

Just finished my second shave with #1. This might be the coticule, although it lacks that final, satiny sensation I'm used to. Softer than the crisp edge I get off a J-Nat, though. I've never experienced a CF edge, to my knowledge, so it might be that.

In other words: no idea. Very good shave, though.

Although I love the look of this razor, I discovered that it is a little too delicate for me to do my weekened 4-pass shave comfortably. Going ATG in the hollows of my neck, I've got to do some contortionist moves while holding just the shank and tang between two fingers, and there was just not enough there to hold on to. If it was my razor, I p[robably would have taken the chance, but the idea that "The idiot who ended the experiment" would be my tagline forever more on SRP made me relent.

    Default #2

    Maybe too much info....

About once every six months, I have a supernatural shave, and tonight was one of those. I didn't initially have a lot of hope for #2. #1 easily passed HHT all along the bevel. #2 only at the very tip of the toe.

Used MWF along with a BK8. MWF is usually a bit problematic for me, but not tonight. Don't know what I did differently, but this was perhaps the best lather I've ever made. Way too much for 4 passes, heavy, thick, wet. Shiny on the brush, like glass.

#2 feels like the coticule edge to me. Satiny, and (I think) sharper than #1. Magical shave.

I'll withhold final comments until I try #3 tomorrow. Can't imagine it can get any better.

    The list now is:

    1) hi_bud_gl
    2) Hoglahoo
    3) pcb01
    4) Kingfish
    5) Pabster
    6) Magpie
    7) Ianp1966

And we'll draw the line there I think folks! As Kees was saying, I dont want the different edges to be standardised from use so that all three feel the same..!

Thanks a hundred times to all the folks who have volunteered for this one, I'm really enjoying hearing your thoughts..!
