Sung to the tune of " It Aint the Meat, it's The Motion" by Juicy Lucy or Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes:
"Ooooh it aint the hone, its the honer,
Makes you daddy want to rock...
It aint the hone , its the honer,
Its the honer, it isn't the rock!"Last edited by Kingfish; 11-18-2010 at 03:24 AM. Reason: messed up lyrics

Thanked: 121Stubear: I've been meaning to ask...
The Nakayama as my least favorite (and the only one I correctly identified). Did you finish on water or some variation of slurry/Jim's method?
Thanks, Phil

The Nakayama was a mix of slurry and just water.
I did 25 strokes with medium slurry, 25 strokes with a light slurry then 25 with water. Then I do something Glen coined "25 strokes to dry" where you wet the stone and wipe most of it off with your finger leaving just the thinnest film of water. Then do 25 very light, very perfect X strokes and by the time you're done the stone is basically dry.
And that was it, just strop and shave after that!
The CF was 100 strokes with just water and the coticule was 15 with medium slurry, 15 with light slurry and 20 with water. Again I just came right off the stone to the normal daily strop and then shave.
Hope thats of some help!
