Can't show you too much. hehe... But ..Here's just one shot after 20 backnforth with a wedge I use for testing stones & breaking in DMT's. No slurry just water.
Harder steel won't swarf like that but gives a broad idea of its speed.
Really I'm about the results but if they look good too, well, what can I say but SOLD !The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Beautiful stone Oz. I have a weakness for the naturals especially. I love when the blue mixes with the yellow in waves like that one does.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks for the picture! That really is a fast one if there's no slurry on there. One of my coticules is from the la nouvelle vein layer and looks like that after ten half strokes but that's on slurry! On water its the slowest hone I have....weird these naturals.
I wish I had a 3x8 one but those are dreams now with the upcoming price increases for 2011.

It has something to do with the way that llayer releases garnets, the stone itself is hard, it doesn't scratch with effort.
