My New Coti
It thought I'd lash out & get a select one this time. Size is 150mm x 40mm. My others have been standard grade.
The instructions I posted with the order were for a very hard, very fine finisher that was on the fast side. I love my other coti finisher but hate how slow it is. This is a heavy, dense hard hone & exactly what I wanted in speed & finish.
This is what arrived with a note written on it in pencil from Maurice. Even came with a slurry stone, which I wasn't expecting. Was not expecting a natural combo either I simply ordered a coticule. The hairlines are not cracks but the coti buffs out there would know that.
Microscope pics over a manganese hairline & one of blue side.
2 Shave tests in & I'm over the moon with how it works. "Succes" indeed
Gotta love the service from ArdennesThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 3795That is freaking awesome. I don't give a damn what vein my coticule comes from, but to be able to describe the characteristics I want, (and who the hell doesn't want "fine and fast?") and to be able to get just that, oh man, that is priceless.
I think I have 19 coticules. After I get a job, I may try to place such an order with Ardennes and see if I can sneak number 20 past my wife!

Great looking stone. I would love to get one I just don't know how to order one. The website is a bit confusing to me.

Thanked: 99319 Coti's!! Holy smokes. Were you excited each time you got a new one, or did it wear off eventually? I'm just about to get #1, and I'm pumped.....I've got a few razors patiently waiting for their buttery smooth edge.
Onimaru - that is a great looking stone! congratulations.
