The quality of your pictures are fine for people who know what to look for

I have one kiita with the same marks. I love it but keep in ind that a fine tomonagura can produce similar results on a Western blade

It can be troublesome to read replies without knowing to whom they are directed...especially when reading the thread in linear format. Quotes make things much easier for folks...or even better, merging replies into a multiquote post.

Oh, this is the Jnat thread...ummm just added a Shobudani and a couple new tomonagura...here they are sitting next to my Wakasa and some nagura...

I believe he is unfamiliar with the concept of answering with quotes.

    See, you're getting there!
How does your new tomo naguras work for you?
I see they got some skin, make sure that skin stay well away from the hone when making slurry, it can be toxic!

Haven't had a chance to do much with them...the photo was just after unboxing. I flattened one on a few sides and it seems nice. A softer Nakayama, seems very silky when flat.

Still haven't flattened the Shobu yet...will do that when I have more time.
