    The one with base was lacquered already. I always lacquer the sides just in case.

    Very nice hone collection, I am waiting till I start working full-time again before I start exploring the JNATS, You have some coarser stones in that collection I think, Do you use them for sharpening swords as well? or just knives? I like swords lol.

    A very nice finisher, and a super fast stone as well.
    It can take 1k edge all the way with no issues.

    That stone looked nice !!

    Looks like the meara stone that I have tested here.... Meara Japanese natural whetstone - YouTube

    But I use mine for my kitchen knife

    There is no such thing as Meara stone. There is no Meara mine in existence, not in Japan at least.
