In digital photography "color" depends of so many factors, that majority of people doesn’t even aware and care about. Correct white balance, right color temperature, available light, you name it. When you look at the picture, you never know is this real color or just the color your camera can produce. Two posts above is the real example of it. To show exact color of your stone you have to use some tools which can give you at least 99% accuracy. Color checker is one of them.

X-Rite: Get exactly the color you need, every time, anywhere in the world.

LOL . I have one of those paperweights. It was probably cut across the grain rather than with it. I can use mine on the thin side but the wide side is hopeless.

After testing this one for a week i thought i should post it on here!

I believe this is a Yaginoshima.

The harness is about a level 4 and its a great pre polisher! I would estimate this to be around the 16-20k grit range and i have been using this with a tomonagura and just plain water!

Size: 34.2 KBMy addition to the club--my level 5+ Oozuku from JNS. Sort of a mix of Kiita & Asagi until you get to the end where it goes pure Asagi. The pic is bad, but it has some goma on the surface, giving kind of a speckled effect. Pretty fast cutter too--I barely make any slurry for most razors (the water on the razor looks a bit cloudy is all.)

This thing can get a razor just about as sharp as possible for that particular blade when maxed out (the harder razors in particular love it--they go shavette sharp or better, w/ the medium razors not too far behind) & ridiculously smooth!
