Thanked: 4249I enjoy watching the video, seems always when you see people doing thing different then what you do you might try their way since it might be better or quicker or safer.I must say at the beginning when he was taping the spine i was thinking come on Glen say something he will cut himself but he did stopped him,and all was well.A little surprise to say the sweeping stroke and circles for a first time honer.

Thanked: 3Great concept video, guys! Very enjoyable. And, my gosh, that table of hones :-)
BTW, Glen, the W&B you worked on for me recently is an awesome shaver now.

Mark, if that's your first time I don't see why you couldn't teach honing to the new guys in Yak. Maybe have one of us over see. That looked mighty fine to me. Besides, you have a month to get it all down...

Thanks for the compliment and invitation to teach honing, Gerrit. I'm really honored. Since that day, I've since been practicing honing on some razors a friend on the board sent me, and the process feels infinitely more gratifying and peaceable when there's not a camera rolling.

It will be interesting to see how you progress.
Let me tell you, its not much easier with 20 faces staring intently at you. Its almost as intense as 2 Glens!
I've been thinking for some time that if a proficient new honer was teaching an even less experienced honer he will still remember all of the little quirks that advanced honers have forgotten. Plus Glen will be there to tell you when your wrong and place the spray bottle in front of the camera...
