I would recommend knocking that "12K chinese" stone off your list as they are literally all over the place when it comes to "grit" & they are quite slow. IMO, your money would be better spent on a known good stone.

Got into the mix as well with an order placed for a ZG.
A few weeks out and will be looking forward to later starting on honing.

You will love it. It is currently my favorite finisher..

I have a question for all the Zulu users out there...How may of you are laquering the sticker onto the bottom of the stone? I can't decide if I want to do this or not...I kind of like the idea of keeping the stone original, but then again it would look really nice...I bought some clear Nail Polish for this task but I don't even know if this is the right stuff to use. Can anyone verify that Clear Nail Polish is OK to use for this?

    Looking forward to trying it.

You may want to look at Post No. 181 to see what Bushdoctor got for an end result.
His method of choice is in Post No. 183.
    Looks really great.

Well, I ended up going with clear nail polish. Here is my result:

It came out pretty good, except for the fact that I smudged the label!! Oh well..

I smudged the label at one corner on the border myself.
