I've been waiting very patiently Since Feb. I got word it shipped last week and when I tracked my package it says out for delivery. To bad my wife will not be home today to received it. I have one more day to wait to pick it up and give it a try.
Just out of curiosity, is there a "popular" size. I went with the 8x2 as that is what the budget could handle. And before anyone answers lets make sure we stay away from the "size doesn't matter, its how you use it" type comments

Thanked: 44I think it's a budget thing for many. I'm guessing 8x3 inches is probably normal for a lot of folks. I went with 6x2 inches because I am cheap and the size seems well-suited to handholding. I have some lapping film granite pieces in a similar size (16x6cm) that I like a lot. I also have several Japanese razors with shorter blades that will be a good match, I think.
Mine's in customs, last I checked. Hope to see it soon.

I have 2; one 8x3" and one 8 x 1-1/2". The bigger one is a perfect size for straight razors, but I also like the smaller one as I'm able to hold it in my hand as I hone.

Well it is finally here. I only got to play with it a little so I will save any feedback for later.

Thanked: 44Apparently the Taiwanese customs office suspects I'm smuggling diamonds or something...I ordered in February so I guess I can wait a bit more.

Thanked: 44Yay it's escaped customs! Just received my 2x6" Zulu.
I originally said I'd be happy to get a piece with some skin on a small side, but apparently there were no such pieces laying about so I got one that's been more or less finished on all sides, though the bottom sawed side had a bit of a step that I flattened with some 150-grit paper. Top seems pretty smooth.
I took a Törnblom razor that I was struggling with on my Wakasa Jnat and gave it a few dozen laps on the Zulu Grey under running water. Started feeling sticky after a short while. I like how it feels with the Swedish steel. Gave it some strokes on leather and the edge is promising, but I'll have to wait a bit to give it a good test.
The wrapping was well done but I wasn't very impressed with the label printing. The 6x2" size is almost perfect for me, though some may find it on the small side.
Looking forward to giving it some more attention soon.
