Thanks Gillaume...but iam unsure if this is one?!?

There are many ways to find some nice hones....at this stage i would just mind that there are several characteristics each of those stones has...

I have to name Henk (Margeja) here again because he and the others helped him on the grinding and honing parts did this really great job...so this is a part of knowledge i sometimes use....

And sometimes especially on the bay...you should have a good eye on some of these oiled and dirty ones...rather the ones which are already named and revealed...and another one...high res pics are very useful on the bay, sometimes it is like holding one of these stones in my own hand...if the picture was taken right...

If it would be the same stone in an other Box without lable it would be avaiable for 3 Packs of Cigarettes, its the same thing like it is with the Escher, write Escher on it and youll find someone who would pay a lot for that stone, if its not escher labeled but from the same quality, you can get it much much cheaper.

Bonjour....got a visit today from a good french friend....

Colour looked like dark violet or kind of maroon colour....

Size is: 17x10x1,7cm really a huge Rock...

In comparison to la Lorraine Rouge the colour is slightly lighter and looks more metallic, although the Lorraine rouge has some smal glittering inside the surface....

Iam quite shure this is a Vosges Stone, origin is Bouzemont and the Stone was used as far as i have seen for a carpentry Job as you can also see on the tracks on the surface

Some slight visible fine saw marks only visible at the corners and a beautiful vein in the middle:

So here is the Beauty after lapping, picture of slurry and with wet water, the vein is good visible....

Kind of a Vosges Stone, a stone like Pierre La Lune probably from the same quarry unlabelled ?

Added a video of this one when moving the stone into the light, it describes what i meant with the metallic look a like:

Hey Guys another small Riddle for us all !! Today i received my latest purchase, a Special Stone La Lune.
the interesting thing is, that it is the only one i know up to date from which i have pictues from having the original packaging....
it is packed in vacumized platic on a paper sheat...no Wooden Box...so my guess i already had before that it could be that there is still a source today or a source which sold this one not long in the past (past 20 years) iam not shure...

it has the Stamp "extra fine" and the well known label in red with golden golden letters, symbol and border...
it is a smaller one 9,5x3x2cm...

Looks like pretty much all the"Pierre La Lune" ive seen, with the label and the writing on the sides. Does it say anything on the packaging?
    What does F. G. B. C. stand for?
