I either own or have owned just about every stone mentioned.
The only one I use with any frequency is the Naniwa 12k.
It's smooth, consistent, reliable, and fast.

You're lucky!! To finish off that list I've got to get the Suehiro Gokumyo 20k. $301.73. It's been on my radar for some time, but the Shapton 16k is going to be hard to beat.....but my want power is pretty strong!!

Sorry for late pictures but here they are. To be clear, it is not stone show off from my side. I really do used all this stones in equal way but with different steel types. Since I do not know what stones are those I have learn used them with different razors. Also I use them as slurry to others. Sometimes works, sometimes not.. Anyway sorry if I missed an idea of this post. Saying that I think my very old coti and LI on oil are an universal weapon :-)

I still use it frequently. I really like ghe edges from it when diluted to very light slurry.

Well, here are my shades of Zulu Grey

In addition I sometimes do use some real unknown stones - I have 2 such stones, where I've only ever found one usable piece with no clue as to where it originally comes from, and they are fine finishing stones..
But really I seldom stray from the tribe
