I just pulled the trigger and bought the stone with tomo, tenjyou, and mejiro naguras. I sure hope that customs doesn't hold on to these stones as long as they did with the ones that I bought from AJ on eBay.

Congratulations, I'm sure you will love that stone and the edges it'll give you.

Congrats!! We'll have to keep in touch so we can help each other along. Hopefully we'll receive them at around the same time!!

Absolutely! I'm glad I purchased when I did, apparently I got his last 2 stone set of Naguras. Maksim was extremely helpful during the ordering process and was prompt with his replies to my emails. He's also on the ball when it comes to shipping. I ordered last night and it was already shipped by the time I woke up this morning. I realize he's a few times zones ahead of me, but that still counts as on the ball to me!

Yeah, I just spoke with Maksim and he said he sent me 2 Mejiros by accident. Oh well that's okay, I can still use the stone as a finisher until I get a Tenjyou..

    Thanks for the info!!

    Too bad, but it happens!
Maybe you got someone close who needs a Meijro?

Maybe! I have decided to purchase a larger Tenjyou anyway, so I should have it in a couple of days.

I like to go from 1K to botan, teniyou, mejiro to tomo as MY teniyou and mejiro naguras are quite fine so you may want to use something in between the 1K and teniyou.
Don't forget to lap/prepare your tomo nagura or it could easily scratch your base stone, see this clip: .
I think Alx Gilmore posted that clip.
The tomonagura will only scratch if it is too hard, if it is soft stone (as it should be) then no way it will scratch the base stone.
