Me too. but I think I would like to see and try one before I shell out that much. (I'm frugal, thrifty, My wife says cheap)

I will bring my Naniwa 1,3,8 and 12K's and SRP modular paddle with diamond and CROX felt. Since our last meeting when I had only that Dovo 5/8 I accumulated a TI 6/8 that's finicky to keep sharp, an old WB 7/8 FBU hollow, WB 11/16 wedge and a Filly 13. I will bring all 5.

    Fresh roasted coffee too!

Just ordered one. Got good results with a Sharpton 30k but looking for a little better. How many laps do you use on the 20k?

I asked about the 20K and the Zulu Gray as a finisher a couple of months ago... ended up buying both so I could make my own (albeit expensive) decision.

Use the 20K for the first time tonight... fantastic stone! Fast & smooth. And the later adjective describes the shave... silky smooth!

Some do significantly more, but I tend toward no more than 10-15 at most. Because the hone is white, you readily can see swarf accumulation showing that this hone is an incredibly fast cutter.

20 to 25 for me on my first try... looked nice and smooth under a microscope!

I know that some people suggested that this stone might be a flavor of the month kind of thing. For me it's still the last word in finishing stones.

Yeah, there have been quite a few flavors and I have enjoyed nearly all of them but if someone wants the best equipment available without experimentation, then they get a Naniwa Chosera (now Pro) 1k on one end and this 20k on the other. Anything decent in between will get the job done.

How do the two stones compare?

I havnt tried the Zulu yet, I am afraid. But I can tell you that my G20 smells like acetone, while the Zulu just smells like a rock.
