The last three pictures are with the edge leading AWAY from me on the stones. There is a marked difference between the two sets of pictures, particularly towards the toe of the razor. I actually noticed this halfway through my honing session and tried to correct it, tried to make sure the strokes towards and away were perfectly equal in pressure, length and type of stroke. Unsure why I have this problem.
One possible reason, is that I notice that I do circles the "wrong way" going up the hone, as my muscles automatically do it anticlockwise motions up and down the hone, rather than reversing direction. I tried correcting for that in the second half of my honing session and made myself do clockwise circles up the hone (away from me), but to no avail.

Help gratefully appreciated. It is frustrating because the first set of three pics are quite pretty!!! As above, heel first then middle then toe (in order of worsening bevel!!)
