Lol a facetious attempt to derail this thread to tape no tape argument.

Thanked: 13247Mostly because of threads like these
Every single meet it is that same questions over and over until you pass the razor around and they see/feel in real life the differences between each of their tests...
Then finally all the variables start to sink in
Edit:
One of my personal favs at the meets it showing that it is actually a WET Thumbnail Test and watching their face when it works as they do it correctlyLast edited by gssixgun; 10-31-2015 at 04:50 PM.

You guys are so serious ... obviously taping the spine doesn't do squat to a razor that's already been honed with or without tape and only being HHT tested. I just thought about how far off topic this thread was and thought it would be even funnier to turn it into tape or no tape

No one is claiming Devine intervention in their honing process. I think most already agreed ad nauseam that hht is used to some degree or another. The argument is whether or not it is a bullet proof be all end all test. And I say no. That is all good bye.

Thanked: 1082I used to get a bit frustrated trying to do a hht. Even with a Neil Miller honed blade I couldn't seem to do it with my hair. I one day tried with my wifes hair. Easy hht. Great. I then honed a razor and shaved with it. All good. I then, using the same razor tried at least 10 peoples hair ( they all thought I was slightly weird.) I got mixed results, some good, some not so good.
I deduced from this highly scientific experiment that, erm... everyones hair is different.

Just reading through this makes me feel that the thread should be titled " Question About Finishing with Coticule and Taping and how I got my HHT to 11"
