I have three Gencos, they're good razors.

Hard stuff if abused. Amazing steel once sharp!

One day in Febuary I shaved with a very good custom razor made by a man who knows his way around a grinder and hones. Halfway through I switched to a new old stock
Genco I had with me and it shaved ever so slightly better than the custom. I also have three Filies; the Genco shaves almost as well.

@Learner -- I'm fairly certain Sharptonn would agree with you on the quality of Gencos. He's being super sarcastic since vintage American razors are quite often overlooked in terms of being great shavers.

As Foghorn Leghorn would say, "It's a joke, son!"

Set the bevel with a Washita you say? I will never grow tired of hearing that story! It sounds like a totally natural progression from start to finish. Congrats! A great razor too.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Spent some of my afternoon touching up these 4 razors on a Shapton 12k.

Will probably have to get myself a natural finisher in the not too distant future.
