Here is a Piece Of Slate or POS for short. With water alone it does not cut.

It dulls the edge with a heavy slurry. It's no use to use oil because it does not cut. You are better off spending your time stropping on good leather.

This one I did first thing this morning watching the news
I REALLY like using bench strops with Kamisori

Nakayama with a Icantremember Kiita for slurry, after the Chosera 1-5-10 to correct the bevel

CeOx Bench strop and Leather Bench strop

    Hone On !!!

The blade looks kind of funky in the pic because it's still wet.

Yet another 14 on the hones today I don't know why but these 14s seem to be dropping through my door every week, I have honed many razors for the owner of this particular razor and I have to say he must have one of the best collections of Filarmonica Iberia and Palmera razors I've ever seen.

First post on this thread. First of all I would like to give a shout-out to Randy and Rod for taking time and instructing me. Thank you guys.
I got this Cape 650 off the internet. The blade has pitting and there was some rust on the bevel but only superficial. I used an Atoma 1200 to clean it and then on to Chosera 1K. Mid range work on Ohira suita until all scratches were gone. Following the instructions that Mainaman gave me I went on Koma then tomo on a Nakayama.
    Sharp and smooth

Looks like you may have brushed the edge against your finger nail. Just above the blue dot it looks lower than the rest of the edge but otherwise, nice looking edge.

Thank you. Not sure what happened there but I looked at the edge again and found a chip on the toe so back to the stones in the morning

I shaved off it last night..
My face will require some time to recover,I shredded it.
100 laps was a stupid test.
Re honed it, then did 20 laps.
My God it's is ready now...
    Roll on Saturday
