    Beautiful frameback and stone! I love how these razors shave, especially with a skin friendly coticule edge.

    I bought the La Grise a few years ago from Ardennes themselves, it was the only La Grise left at the time and it was some sort of a "showroom piece"
    I was always used to smaller Coticules, but figured I'd get the only one they had, it's pretty big but it's an ease and pleasure to hone on and it's my best finishing vein out of all my Coticules for me

    I also love those Swedish framebacks, the best shavers for me, I think I rarely use anything else the past months, I love them with a skin friendly Coticule edge as well, lovely shaves

    These are all Engstrom frame backs and a newer mined coticule that puts a smooth edge on for me.Probably la grise?

    Would like to see close up pictures and maybe one from the side, but I heard a lot of currently sold Cotis are coming from the La Grise layer

    Pretty plain looking coticule.I believe the seller said he thought it was a lgj but I think he was going by looks?

    Here is an older glued combo coticule with a newspaper liner and an 1829 date written on it.

    Very hard to tell going by on the lower res forum pictures , I will guide you to http://www.coticule.be/clinic.html where they can give you a good guess
