3 pristine Solingens up for tonight's session.
A Coroneta and a couple of old Giesen and Forsthoffs.
They all pop hairs, so a few laps on the Naniwa 1k and take a peek before going forward.
Sounds like a plan...

My old Norton 4/8 is my Hero.
It brought me through learning and has sustained my mid-range needs ever since.
Reckon I shall stick with it as well. It does not ask for much!
Getting an early task done so as to enjoy the long weekend.
An F Herder on to the 12k Naniwa and some BG Escher to finish.

This morning I honed up a Hart Custom 5k/ 10k/ Escher.
I took micro picture along the way , they are fantastic images . (I'm easily pleased)
Just had a wonderful shave.

In the process of learning some new stones. Used my cape razor. Started with the suita on the left. Hard and fine stone. Followed by iromono which is also fairly hard. I experimented a bit with slurry consistency and the best result is with no dilutions letting the slurry break down and also thicken just a bit. Too thick kills the edge and too thin makes the edge too crispy for my taste. When I hit it just right the razor was very sharp and comfortable at the same time. Both stones are partially wet to make the colors pop
