I've got the Nani 400 but I don't use it much. I use the DMT325 for the heavier jobs. The last two times I used it dry while sitting on the couch watching TV. Very convenient.

I also prefer DMT325 for hard jobs instead of lower grades. Much more faster

I have a 4 and 600 Naniwa and use them after bread knifing with diamonds for deep chip removal. Start the bevels with diamond plate at a 45 degree, spine off the plate and leave a bit of flat, bevels not meeting, then the 400 to meet and the 600 to smooth the bevel. Set fully on 1k after jointing.

I don’t use them much, but they will make quick work of setting a new bevel without the chipping from a diamond plate.

You can do much the same with a 325 DMT and a 1k, just takes longer.

Gents can I ask a favor here PLEASE !!!

When you talk of taking out chips and breadknifing, etc: and then using a Low Grit Hone or a Diamond Plate bring it back can we PLEASE differentiate that as an Edge Restore or Restoration rather then "Setting the Bevel"

It is very confusing for new honers and many of them think that it is a common practice to use a lower then 1k hone/plate to "Set the Bevel" because they need to "Get-r-Done" fast..

Can we please start to change the narrative on that in this thread, maybe it will grow, expand and finally take hold out there in Razordom that "Setting the Bevel" on a 400 grit hone is NOT an everyday occurrence...

Snow White has found her way hone.
I struggled to bridge the gap between 5K Chosera and my finishers. Now I get to play without stretching the grits.

Yes, the Original Snow White (IF-0001) is an impressive 8k, try it with a very thin,1k diamond slurry for a nice bevel polish and super straight edge.

Seems counter intuitive for a higher grit synthetic, but it works.
