Honed up these 7 razors today for my brother. Debado 1k / Nakayama Maruka
    A Hart, 2 Dovos, 3 T.I's, and a W&B ..

I am coming to terms with this new stone. The feedback is amazing , i can feel the metal being cut and it is very aggressive, that you can tell just from how it tears up the Naguras..

    Have a great weekend..

Late-night honing session, just finishing this '64 Soviet VOLGA razor up for joelkerr, who was kind enough to bring to my attention a local Kijiji seller who had some very affordable Jnats for sale. This mizukihara is my first Jnat, and for the price it was a fun gamble, I really wasn't expecting it to blow my mind. But this thing is GREAT! It has an inclusion that I need to check out more carefully (which might account for its price), so I've just been slurrying it on my translucent ark. Really stoked about this stone so far. Now to shave-test this razor and try to get some sleep before I hand it off to Joel tomorrow...Name: mizukiharajoel.jpg

Honed these two tonight on the new Maruka, its the easiest stone in the world to work on..

    Wostenholm Stubtail.
Mappin Brothers Three Shilling Razor.. Restoring and honing this one gave me a great respect for it that might be overlooked at first. A long heavy wedge grind with a silver wedge and silver pins, unfortunately i couldn't save the pins.. The HHT was off the charts.

Bevels established with the naniwa 800 / Bevels set on the Debado 1k / Full Nagura Progression

I bought one of those Herder 8/8 Spade and Double Key razors on eBay for the hell of it. Came in yesterday, so put it on the stones today. That sucker is NOISY on the stones!! Like really noisy.

It gave me a chance to place with some of the random nagura that Alex Gilmore sent me to play with (thanks again, Alex!).

    Chosera 1K
    Chsera 1K with unknown nagura
    Chosera 3K
    Chosera 3K with unknown nagura
    Ozuku with 1200 diamond plate
    Ozuku with unknown nagura
    Ozuku with unknown nagura #2
    Ozuku with water

Feedback was all over the board, as this blade didnt give the usual sticky sensation you get when a blade is ready to move on. But the nagura with the karasu pattern really seemed to let me known when I was done. Cant wait to try and shave with this guy, though he is a 3"+ blade, and I am used to shorties!

Finished this batch yesterday. Almost three day project. 50 razors. GD208, GDP81, Gold Monkey 666, and the last of the GD66 unless I find some more out in the shop. Progression was 100/320/1000 grit wet/dry glued to 3/4" acrylic, then a final de-chip and bevel set on 1k Naniwa Superstone, then 9u/3u/1u lapping film over 3/4" acrylic, then lapped and pasted balsa .5u/.25u/.1u diamond. Still need to do final QC inspection, and remove blade silk screening on razors where it was rubbed through, then strop on cowhide and horse shell cordovan and a quick soak in barbicide. Only 45 shown because I had to pull some and fast track them for filling orders because I was out of razors ready to ship. This was epic. I did this one stage at a time on the whole batch and it was efficient but mentally fatiguing. I think I will stick with doing 10 at a time from now on. Hopefully I can stay caught up this time.

Mid to upper range work on the suita with DN. Then to the little kiita with DN. No dilutions just slurry reduction. Very sharp and super comfy.
