Tonight I honed an F.A. Koch & Co (Solingen) Cyclone razor.

I set the bevel on a naniwa 2k which took longer than I would have liked. I then used a Botan, Tenjou, Koma, Honzan slurry progression on my Takashima Kiita, finishing with just water. This is the third razor I have honed using this method and the previous two were smooooooth!

Prior to that, I honed a Clauss Everreddy razor.

I set the bevel on my naniwa 2k. Then used a modified "dilucot" method on my coticule with 5 dilutions. Then moved over to the Takashima Kiita with Honzan slurry with 5 dilutions finishing on water. This edge was one of the smoothest I have shaved with, but I like playing with my new naguras right now so I haven't gone back to it yet.

    Honing is fun!

I just finished honing my Manaslu M-55 (#1190). I got the razor NOS, and had previously honed it on a Norton 4k/8k and finished it on my Iwasaki Select Nakayama. This time, I used my new Oozuku and a nagura progression. I started with a botan slurry which I refreshed once as it started to darken. I then followed the same progression through meijiro, koma, and honzan. I finished with water only. We'll see how she shaves!

Just put the finishing touches on a "T. W. Percival" Warented Sheffield. Classic late 1800's styling that may or may not be a keeper, more grind than I like but it feels stiff so we shall see. I diddn't bother with a Cro2 strop as I usually do as I want to see if I can shave off the asagi with it, Edge looks very clean so far...
