Del,
The photo seems to look very much like the Hunsrueck Hones more than a true Thuringen. The selling price seems to indicate this as well. I know the remaining Thuringen stock does not yield very large stones and a 2x6 is probably even a stretch. The Hunsruecks are of similar makeup, equally as fine and cut a bit faster.
Even with my supplier there was some confusion over the differences. Maybe Toolshop would disclose their supplier but I doubt it. I know Manufactum was very hush hush about theirs.
