    Where's the sweet 16?

I'm probably the biggest advocate for the Shapton GS's here at SRP. Only time I use the 220 or 500 is for razor repairs, but they are great for knives. After a light lapping, I would only use the 1200 Atoma to keep them flat. Keep your spray bottle handy as they like to run wet.

If I can be of assistance, please don't hesitate to PM me as I still mostly use my GS's.

I use the Shapton GS stones almost exclusively. I'd also recommend not using the plates to create slurry. It's not needed on the Shaptons. You'll just be wasting good stone. Water alone is fine, They are fast cutters. Faster than you'd think, so remember, less is more. If you find yourself doing hundreds of laps, somethings wrong.

PM Shooter immediately...... and he's right..Get the 16. You'll be glad you did. By the time I get to that stone, I find I only need 5-10 laps depending on the blade. It's easy to go to far on the 16, which will make the edge feel harsh. Eventually, you'll be able to feel it.

    Good choice btw, Congrats!
