Mine varies. Today was an original Leatherman and a CRKT K.I.S.S. lockblade. Typically on a work day, it is the Leatherman, a SAK-Super Tinker is the model, and a small lockblade. Each has its preferred uses. If I need a small blade that I can open one handed, the lockblade. If I need a bigger blade or one of the tools on the SAK, then I have it. The Leatherman is usually used as pliers. But, the file also gets used quite often.
On a side note, this topic reminds me of another forum I frequent that deals with these types of subjects daily.

Thanked: 2Same problem: I'm in NYC too, and the weapons laws here are fairly stringent.
I carry a Boker Subclaw - sweet little solidly-built locking folder with a 2.75" handle and a 1.75" blade curved like a linoleum knife. The handle has jimping top and bottom, a deep finger choil behind the blade, and fluting ridges all over the rigid G10 scales, so you can get a real solid grip on it even though the handle doesn't even fill your hand. It would be nobody's choice of a weapon but as a last-ditch defensive slasher it would do considerable damage and likely change an attacker's mind in a hurry.
For utilitarian purposes I carry a Leatherman Juice in my man-purse . . . uh, manly gear-bag, and an SAK in my other pocket. I recently misplaced the SAK and I'm heartsick about it - I can't bring myself to acquire another pocket-knife in its place.

I have a Buck assisted opener in my right pocket, a Spyderco in my left pocket. And a .9mm snuggled against my back.

Thanked: 2Smith and Wesson 24/7. I don't get to carry it as much as I'd like. Part of the "charm" of working at an airport.

Thanked: 2[See picture of slip-joint Boker with straight-razor-shaped blade.]
I've always been skeptical about those razor-bladed folding knives. But if a "serious" company like Boker makes one, perhaps they think it can actually be used?
What really catches my eye about this one is . . . the razor blade has a barber's notch! Now what's that about? Would this constitute evidence against the theory that the "barber's notch" identifies a razor truly intended specifically for professional barbers? (Surely no barber ever whipped out a slip-joint pocket knife and gave a professional shave!)

Thanked: 20Just got my new benchmade griptillian. Full size, plain edge, sheepsfoot. I'm really liking it, more friendly than my SOG trident tigerstipe combi-edge. sits well, and feels good. about the only thing that would make it better is a bayonet style clip so it rides low, but thats just my opinion, I know lots of guys perfer the high ride.
