You can get a slipjoint type of knive, they usually are in the 2-3" length and most are nonlocking.

Your not allowed to have a locking blade folder in the UK... isnt that kind of stupid?
What if you where using it like a tool, couldnt the blade fold closed with a little to much force? Causing you to cut into your fingers.
As beautiful as the UK is, and as much fun as it would be to visit. I could never live there, your guys's rights just keep getting trampled more and more.
    It would drive me insane
Heck, how much their trying to do that here in aMurica is enough to drive me nuts.
Here in Mn, you cannot carry a knife with over 4" of blade length. Which i blatantly disregard.
If the need arose, id rather end up being judged by 12 than carried by 6

I understand your logic with the lock, but if I'm correct, locking systems on pocket folders is recent , as in our lifetime, my grandfather had no locking system on his knives & I remember when the locking systems were being widely implemented.

When there were no locking systems on folders, you just had to be more carefull/smart with the handling of the knife.

Don't think I would have dragged in England's rights vs no rights into this thread,,,,,sort of an "out of place" of topic comment,,,,,I'm no Mod., but our brothers across the pond take their knives seriously.

Your decision to carry against your local laws , is your decision,,,,hope it does not cause you problems someday.

Let's not turn this thread into that kind of discussion, the history on this forum teaches us that it all ends with closed threads. This one does not deserve that IMHO.
