This was my grandfather's everyday carry knife. I watched him use it more times, than I can count when I was a child. It was given to me this weekend. He died in 1979 & I guess it was poorly stored. I never knew it still existed, or I would have taken it years ago, to keep it from this condition. I did what I could, but the steel is cratered, like nothing I've ever seen. I put her on an old Carborundum, actually one of his he used weekly. She will cut arm hair now, but will be permanently retired & only handled to oil her when needed.

    Thanks for looking,
    Hirlau

From my research, all Sod Busters are pretty much the same with small differences in the upsweep to the tip. Those are great EDC blades, very pocketable and are made from really good steel.

my EDC's are an Olfa razor, CRKT carson titanium m-16 folder, Cold steel super edge fixed blade and a Leatherman Wingman. In addition to that I have a small maxpedition EDC bag that has a Cold steel safe maker 1 push blade and a Cold steel tanto Spike. It may seem extreme, but I am a painter and travel all over. I never want to be with out far from home

Depends on the day, but typically i carry a CRKT m21-dsfg (personal defense) and a sypderco dragonfly green frn in zdp-189 to open boxes and just be the sharpest thing on the planet.

also throw in a kershaw rake and some other odd and ends once in a while

Size: 43.4 KBThe Laguiole has been my edc for the last seven or so years, the S&W spring assisted is my toss toy that i let other ppl use
The Laguiole also has a "gooseneck" locking system that keeps the blade sucurely open. I attach it to my keys with the clasp that I made the very tiny jump ring out of a good quality safety pin.

I will one day buy myself a Laguiole. A beautiful pocketknife in my opinion. A nice Peasant style of knife.
