I have a passion for knives (which led to straight razors). I have a "collection of knives" but not much of anything other than production. I have many Case Trappers, a ceramic knife, Boker, early Parker/Frost and Parker, some Schrade/Old Timer, one knife I helped make at Smokey Mountain KW..a forged damascus blade with horn handle and scrimshaw on butt, Kershamw, a Paul knife, and a Tony Bose. Would love to make my own knives, but I just can't seem to get there.

I got into making knives from metal files...Heating to shape then heating for heat treating and sharpening which was the hardest for me to perfect...I never quit got the sharpening down but still came out with some good one..I also did some Micarta with a few pairs of jeans to make some cool scales for the handles on a few of them...
Then the ones I bought in the second group which are a couple of Buck knives...
The knives you posted are top notch metal work to do that style...

I see someone has been playing with the PVC for sheaths.
I made a PVC sheath for my filet knife, make for easy cleaning after a fishing trip.

It separates in half and you have a knife and a fork as well as bottle cap lifter on the fork.

This ugly beast is a really scarce one. I've seen three for sale on ebay in the last five years. It was made by a gent named Chris Wolfe, who later became the general manager of Schatt and Morgan Cutlery in the 1920's. It has a back spring that will hold a small car off the ground. It's also devoid of a nail nick to help open it. DOG help you if you get a finger in the way when it closes. It does have "half stops" on the blade so it doesn't slam home without a bit of warning.

    Crude yet effective.
By grannies Willie, I thunk that was you and then when I saw that beautiful old "Hobo" that clinched the deal.

I'll introduce myself to the forum with two favorites in my pile. The first is a Camillus 1047 Scout customized by Wallace Rockwell with pre-ban elephant ivory. The second is another Rockwell customized Camillus 72 with Gold Lip Pearl handles and bolsters engraved by Damon Soileau.
