It's all right mate I understand, but lets just keep this liking of me away from the touchy feely type of like I hear some of you blokes go in for...mainly in public schools I hear, which equate to private schools...Apparently, but seems really backwards all the same

Well, I'm calling last drinks. I'm off to bed right after a cuppa tea. Catch you blokes on the dark side.

Nice looking razor, it looks like the toe is slightly muted which is good, less chance of slicing yourself by accident, are the scales bone or ivory or something else?
Have you got your other supplies in yet? Don't overlook the trusty Palmolive shave sticks, they are good and cheap and quite well regarded.
Seller didnt put much in ways of a description but they do look along them lines, might even just be plastic?

You should be safe for the first shave, which if you have self control will only be a few strokes anyway. Though I don't think many of us had that sort of control.
You dont have to buy a strop, people have used all sorts of stuff, newspaper in a bulldog clip, denim, belts etc, though your best chance of success (or variable elimination at least) would be to get something reasonable. Saying that I made mine, but could have bought one cheaper probably.

I have one with bone or ivory (it is a maze of cracks so not fancy) one with plastic and one with either plastic or something similar like bakelite (the Swedish one, I could probably find out easily but don't really care that much). The scales don't make that much difference to me, though if pushed for a favourite I would say the bone ones, but not by great deal. Its the shave that really matters.
Have you done a search for your razor, if it is a well known make there is probably some info on it here somewhere. If not you could start a thread, I personally haven't because again I am not really fussed.
