Pays my rent, jobs are hard to come by around here, its not a job for life but suits my current situation, feel good just breathing in the air around me and i appreciate everything around me because i have witnessed real poverty with my own eyes.

Well you have a lifetime ahead of you yet to find your niche it always astounds me how poor mannered customers are these days, I watch other people a lot, and notice that less and less of them say please or thank you, then there are the ones who won't give the person the money in their hand, but just dump it on the counter. my wife worked at a department store and she hated the way customers treated the staff.

Hi steph, what do you do? You seem to work every weekend.
Did you have a good Sunday breaking of the fast?
I always assumed the US would be on a massive time difference from us in oz, its around 5.30 am here in the west.

So true Ed. I grew up behind the counter of a small family run grocery store in Chicago. I've been dealing with the public's attitudes since I was seven years old. While the working side of the counter has to have that damn pleasant smile and attitude at all times. The "I'm better than you side" responds as if you are their indentured servant. Plus, extend credit to them and ask for payment you get a s__t load of racial slurs and words in return. Don't get me started. End of rant.

I can understand where you are coming from, i grew up in a single.parent, not at all well off family, though I think the economy in Wales is probably worse than it was in the UK, I still apreciate what I have, my mum gave me what she could and I never went without for stuff that was needed, but we certainly didn't have money to burn.
Being around mining boom kids, who have always known wealth is a bit depressing, as everything becomes disposable.
My attitudes towards things are changing in so much as I won't go straight to the cheapest item to do the job, I will usually consider my purchases still though.
