I think within reason. I noticed Neil miller has some strops for around 20 quid i think. His are supposed to be good and they are hand made, Look up the strop shop. The whipped dog strops are meant to be good value, but postage to the UK might not make it so. Beyond that I don't really know, I have never bought one, apart from a really poo one from the bay for a few bucks. Are you saving up all your facial hair so that you'll really notice the difference after your first shave?
Have you got much planned for Friday night?

Actually apart from the Dad bit, Carl would definitely out do me in the forearms of power bit...Skipping on the other hand...Skipping I can do real good, since my kids have had me out in the yard acting like the PT instructor from hell in the build up to their Skip-a-thon. I hadn't skipped rope since I was about their age too, but I'm back in form with it now! I still wake up with the horrors, imagining my neighbours peering through their windows, and laughing at the fat, middle age bloke, jumping rope...

Come on I thought you were a farm boy, don't you guys throw hay bales and cows around just for giggles?
As long as your gut doesnt have a delayed reaction ie the one man Mexican wave effect, then it probably ok.
    What is the skip-a-thon for?
How was/is everyones Friday evening (you can wait until it happens if you are not there yet, or just guess), mine was exciting, it started with a dodgy haircut that I gave myself, a meal replacement shake (yummy chocolate flavour), followed by an uninspiring shave, toenail cutting and soon to be asleep. All before 8.30.

I don't know if it's different in Au but otherwise "Bouldering" is climbed outdoors, on low height, just for fun, to test out some moves or to play with some climbing problem.
No ropes, some use a soft mat to dampen their fall others a friend "a spotter".

Actuallly now that you mention it, I think carl may have mentioned that they do do outdoor bouldering on actual boulders, or large stones at least.

Yeah, I guess that's why they call it "Bouldering"!
I've never been to Au but a few of my ropes and some other gear have scaled up Ayers Rock, before it was illegal that is.

I reckon that sounds like cheating if you have gear that can climb in its own, then get itself half way around the world.

Damon, in a pinch you can use a leather belt. Any antique stores near you? I got my best so far strop at my local antique store, a Russian Hide about 70 yrs old. But Saturday my equally old Russian Razor strop with my name on it is due to arrive. I don't know what they call them in the UK but Goodwill, Salvation Army and similar organizations have store that often carry items you can't seem to find anywhere else. Just woke up, need food, talk later.
