Thanked: 556Welcome. Looks like you’ve armed yourself with some pretty good “starter” razors. Sounds like you know how to use them if you’re getting good smooth shaves already.
Do you hone your own yet? If you’re just starting down that rabbit hole, there’s lots of good advice on the honing threads. Don’t be afraid to ask questions as there are lots of folks here who will jump in to help and even more who will enable any acquisition disorders you may develop.
Happy shaving.David

I sent them all out for an initial hone to professionals, but have now acquired a couple of hones and will see if I can keep them sharp myself. I think what helped me understand the touch I need to use with a straight razor is my use of a Parker SRW Barber shavette early on. I read that they are very unforgiving, but if you use a light touch and a mild razor blade (Lord Super Chrome) I found I could get a smooth shave (with a few nicks and slices along the learning curve!). That allowed me to get the best shave I've ever had first time with my Goldedge, another tool some have said is unforgiving.

Went to one of the other threads and got the correct advice to hold the bottom of my phone to the right. That got the photo straight. Will take a shot of my vintage razors and try to post it. I am particularly happy with my latest RAD acquisition: a circa 1901 Imperial Razor Company Teddy Roosevelt commemorative with his likeness engraved on the blade.
