Hi All,

I've just joined up after placing an order from whippeddog for a sight unseen razor and strop kit, really looking forward to it arriving so i can try out me first ever straight razor shave.

I've been into DE shaving for just over a month, which i've thoroughly enjoyed, and my curiosity about straight razors has got the better of me.

Bongo, have you ever ordered any products from whippeddog? Just wondering how long delivery times are from the US to WA

Ali, no I haven't but delivery times from U.S. to Perth is usually about 7-10 working days based on my experience.

Is there any decent shops in the city that sell straights apart from shaver shop, esquires and mr shaver?

Not that I know of, you could always start searching through antique shops !!

That's good to know, I'd like to find an Australian Trading / Selling forum once i get a bit more tactile with the whipped dog razor.

The local shops around here are selling a Dovo 5/8 best quality with basic plastic scales for $124, does that seem expensive or about right?
