I'd say she reached perfection on that one. Too bad I'm a cold water shaver.

Richard! Never heard of 'Ice Water'? If you want 'cold' water then you could have really 'COLD' water/just put the container in the freezer overnight, when ready to shave remove and add some cold water and put it back for a bit/than have at it!!!

Beautiful 1 piece scuttle. Mrs McBladescar really has dialed it in nicely on her design! And tell her her glaze is spot on!

Sorry Roy, I'm too foggy in the AM to remember I have a frozen scuttle in the freezer to provide me with a exemplary frigid shave. Most days anything less than hot does me just fine. If I lived in Alaska I'd shave outdoors year round for the effect.

I'm a cold water shaver in the summer, from the tap, with nice warm lather from my skuttle.

Wow, that is beautiful work! I would have thought they were done by someone who made them regularly if you hadn't said anything. I know they are usually one piece, but it seems like the two piece would be easier to clean. I've never used one though.
Seeing those really have me rethinking my own shaving setup. It would be great having the option to shave with warm cream/soap. Right now I'm using shaving soap in a small rice bowl.
