Yes, I know, but I'm a minimalist sort of fellow, I really do wish to stop at three. For me I think that is enough. I think I'll go for the three razor case and be done with it... :-)

I don't know if cigar cases come set for three, but you might look at them.

For a few years, I had a tradition of getting myself a really nice birthday present. One year it was a coffee table with a display drawer, built by a friend who was setting up his own furniture workshop. I had a big hand in the design, which I couldn't have had from a furniture store.

You might try the same, if you can find a custom builder. You know exactly what you want, but the marketplace apparently doesn't.

Good luck on your quest. I understand this kind of exact desire.

Don't I have to walk across some rice paper or something? And strong denial matched with strong resolve and strong support the goal will make and temptation break. ....Or something. I just made that up; isn't that cool?

Anyhoo, ordered the three razor case and recieved SECOND razor today (I'm SUCH a Capitalist Pig) (I'll post a pic in 'razors') (not of a Capitalist Pig; of the razor).

Who knows what'll happen? I get bored quicky. I might start collecting vintage luggage next, or vintage golashes, or vintage wash stand sets (now that would be nice, vintage wash stand sets with the jug and the bowl and shaving in the bedroom (like this Beautiful Antique Jug & Basin on Timber Wash Stand | eBay, now isn't THAT cool!!!. I think I need to be transported back to no later (as in > ) than 1920 STAT!

OK, Mr Minimalistic here. My name is Carl and I have a shaving related problem...

Someone reminded me the other day of a quote here as I made mention of (according to his calculations) the fourth razor "In this thread, strong the denial is [was]".

Anyway, I got my THREE razor case today from Executive Shaving (UK). Very nice it is. Black leather with bright white stitching. No emblems or even brand stamps at all. It has some elastic stitched inside for holding the razors. Coincidentally one compartment is just that little bit larger to hold the W&B. Until you look inside you can't tell it has compartments, unlike the Dovo two razor case (which also looks very nice). The smooth but not glossy leather is lined with black velvety stuff and it all smells very leathery. It's made quite strongly and appears to offer excellent protection. The stitching is really robust. It's also made so that IF any stitching did wear out it could easily be re-stitched, as it's well moulded.

Of course it'll be entirely useless shortly when the fourth (fifth, sixth, seventh) razor arrives, unless I start collecting razor cases too...

Personally I really like the Dovo leather soft sided 7 razor case, but unfortunately it's hilariously expensive.

Yeah, not bad, I'm a bit wary of zips though...

    (a) Buy the Dovo case and keep one razor in its box, probably the Burrell, as it's the cheapest, and use it for, ummm, emergencies?
    (b) Buy the three razor case and keep all three in the case and rotate them
    (c) Find someone to make a three razor case very similar to the Dovo case, any ideas? Anyone have either of these cases and can comment? Does either case have room for desiccant?

How many razors do you guys actually use regularly? Is two enough (seriously, RAD and coveting aside), should I rotate more than two (seriously, RAD and coveting aside). How many razors did people USED to have, like in the 'olden' days? On another note, did guys in the 'olden days' hone or get their razors honed? Probably a stupid question, but I'm interested in the history...
I have about 30-40 that I keep in coffee mugs...I shave with them all...when I use one I put it back in the mug upside down until I go through both of the mugs...then I put them all back in right side up and start all over...I keep my Dovo in the original case and my Japanese str8's (3) in the wooden box that they came in as well...
