Started on this yesterday, finished it this morning. Still need to get a few more magnets, but that's a five min job to put those in. I'm happy how it turned out....so is Mama. Now it's time for her to do her magic with pictures to the right of the display. I have several photo's of my Dad barbering and cutting mine, as well as my 2 son's hair when they where little. She mentioned something about finding a thinner version of a barbers pole light to mount, too. But, that's her gig. Me = building; Her = decorating.

Nice to look at. Sometimes I wish I could be that organized. I'm an "out of sight, out of mind" type of person. Based on that I have to display everything or I tend to re oder if I don't see it.

Thanked: 2My Shaving shelf put together out of a pallet at work, the side pieces are an old window sill....Never attempted carpentry before, man, it's hard to keep a straight line!! Got to use a router for the first time ever! tried to make an airtight box (Haven't let the smoke bomb off in it yet, but when bathing he kids, bottles are dripping wet while, the chrome inside is shiny with no signs of moisture)
enjoy ;p
Got the Samuri rack idea from the good lads here
Need to add a towel rack at the bottom....
Space for 2 DE razors and 7 straights, because I'm never gonna suffer from RAD!! LOL

Thanked: 2That was a weird one, I used a rolling pin to make that pole, and apparently it's very good for rolling stuff, because when i went to replace it with a traditional one, with the pin going through the cylinder, she went mad, wasn't happy at all that I hadn't asked her for it, and she threw out the replacement in order to get the exactly same one I'd taken...WOmen
