I wonder too if the time away from str8 shaving has resulted in a decrease in any "skills" I might have developed in both shaving with, sharpening and stropping my razors. This tendency is very evident in fine motor skill sports such as golf or billiards so I'd guess there might be a correlation. Suffice it to say that my inability to get a really close staight shave has gotten frustrating...to the point of almost giving it up. Before, I was able to get really close shave going with ATG shaves and now all I do is aggravate the skin. SO yesterday I shaved with my Merkur DE and today I went WTG...any thoughts?
