I decided to head to Walmart as well. I didn't get a salsa bowl, but it was still pretty cheap. Thanks for the idea.

I used to do the same thing, at Wal Mart and Target. I'd alway look in the garden section too, I used Flower Pots as a scuttle, one inside the other, like a double boiler. I also used a small potpourri crock with a flower pot in it as a scuttle. I do like the idea of a large bowl to mix lather in.

In the pic here, you see two scuttle that look like flower pots. SRD used the sell them a while ago. I purchased the one on the left, and had the one one on the right made for me with swirls in it to aid in lather building. You have to be proactive with the crock, they will get too hot and cook your lather. The more you use it, you learn when to unplug it. It worked great. I've moved on to a different scuttle, a large bowl type.

    Wow. Talk about razor burn!

I've been using an ice cream dish I got at Target a few weeks ago. It's actually a little too big, but was the smallest suitable dish they had. No more banging the brush handle on the side of the bowl while building lather.

I guess theres no end to ones imagination on what you could use. I was at walmart again last weekend and came across a ice cream freezer. I thought....hmmmm... I cant believe some ultra lather wizard on SRP hasnt used one as a lather making machine.
