Not bread but the crust was made from sourdough starter. The crust was nice and crunchy. This shows promise

A healthy skepticism of both old and new ideas is essential to learning.

    First attempts at sourdough baguettes.
2 day process, and I have always struggled with handling baguettes in their wet doughy state.

Pleased with the crumb profile, if not the scoring effectiveness

Baguettes are all about the folding instead of the kneading of the dough, and the hydration is so much higher everything is sticky-ish during the build, but damn decadent results.

    Another tasty failure.

Should that go in the collective noun thread?

I bought a set for Christmas actually Roy, so evidently not, lol. But thanks.

It’s the handling preceding the last rise that proves most awkward to me. Once it’s in the pan things are easy.
Ahh, it’s the effort that makes this fun, and eating the spoils...
