    Default Monastery Kvass

    Today I am drinking Monastery brand Kvass.

    Kvass is a Russian beverage made out of fermented black bread which has a very low alcohol content (usually 1% or less.)

    Kvass is a bit on the sour side, but this one has a hint of a fruity flavor due to cranberries (I think.)
    It is an outstanding summertime thirst quencher!

    You should be able to find kvass/kvas at just about any Russian market.
