It helps if you have friends from different countries.
I must admit that the best stuff that I display has been set before me at somebody else's table!
That is my Inkan, my name seal in Kanji Japanese.
(In Japan, registered name seals are required on checks and legal documents instead of signatures.)
For information about getting a name seal for yourself (an absolute necessity if you are going to spend any time in Japan,) do a search on HANKO (a "hanko" is the stamp that makes your seal). I got mine custom made by a guy on e-bay for a very reasonable price.Last edited by howdydave; 01-06-2020 at 05:02 AM.

Here's my belated New Years 'Snacking Day' event--
Nothing as fancy as some posted but the kids and grand kids thought it was Grand!
Celery Chunks, Wedding Ring Pickles (cinnamon red hots are used to make them) Colby/Jack cubes, baby dill pickles, mini carrots, black olives, ranch dressing in the middle and deviled eggs next to them.
Homemade meatballs in BBQ sauce staying warm.
Turkey and Ham meat roll-ups with cream cheese filling, saltines, spinach dip and Ritz crackers
Not pictured are the three bottles of Martinillis sparkling apple cider that they went through or the guacamole that my daughter made once she got here along with the corn chips she brought.
Great Family Day!Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

I’ve spent the last Christmases in Malta. One of my friends is a Chef at one of the restaurants there, and since she was working Christmas eve, the choice was easy.
Appetizer
In addition to ravioli and Lampuki a local fish that tasted amazing.
Main course
I choose lamb.
And a fantastic dessert table
