Nightblade is right, brew once, then turf the leaves. Green tea should be brewed for no more than 3 minutes (Variety dependant).

reinfusing any tea is a no no.Always start with fresh whether it's loose or bagged. It would be the same as if you rebrewed coffee....icky!!

    Default Chai

    Well I tried "Chai" today...
(Black Tea, Ginger Root, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Cloves, Natural Flavor & Cardamom)

I must say... Quite strange... Neither good nor bad... Like eating Christmas spices...

Store bought... Hy-Vee Brand... Local grocery store chain in Iowa... Maybe other places...

New change... I brewed another cup and added 1 tbs Brown sugar and a "Splash" of milk... I never drink milk in tea... This did WONDERS for the flavor...

However, still not a everyday drink...

Hey Loon, try agave nectar for sweetening your tea......it has no noticeble overbearing taste like honey and it is low glycemic. As said before always start with fresh tea and no more than 3-4 min brew time. That should cure your tannin upset bud.

Honey and warmed milk are the traditional for Chai and here is my blend of Chai that you can make and put in a shaker and add to your cup if you like. Ground Cardamom,Ground Clove,Ground Ginger,And Ground Cinnamon. If you can, get real Cinnamon from a good spice store as it is awesome. You just shake a little in your cup of black tea fresh each time and your partyin in the Taj Mahal man !

ever try kava tea? it is a little expensive but very enjoyable. However, I heard that it can be bad for ones liver? Then on the other hand, I heard that it is only bad for ones liver if the stem is incorporated into the mix instead of pure leaf?
