(Bowing low Chinese fashion)MY friend Sacha who lives in Russia is going to get me the name of the tea they use in Samovars.I may be very well drinking out of a Samovar and eating Blini by next winter (Gong Chime once again) By the way Loon,I been reading up on that Pu er Tea.Have you had any noticeable benefits from it? I read it's got a lot of medicinal qualities to it ?

As far as i know, people in our eastern neighbor use mostly pure black tea.
I asked this from a mate who moved here from Russia back in the eighties.
He gave me a recipe for Tsifir (чифир). Used mostly in a Russian prisons and army.
For each drinker add an an amount of Russian black tea (about how much fits in a match box) + large mug of water (2 desilitres). Put the ingredients into kettle or samovar and let it boil about 10-15 minutes. Tea is now ready. No need to filter tea leaves away.
It is an efficient drink, he said. You either wake up of for good or die.

I've never heard other than Russian black tea. It's very common even here. I would guess that once it's been the one that is just available there but i might be wrong of course. Hope someone would enlighten us more.

not as of yet, but i do notice, that i am not as stressed at work as i was before, but then again, when you drank as much coffee as i used to, it was no wonder. the tea just helps me be more calmed down, less wound tight.
